Brief Biography

Roberto Pierobon was graduated in Electronics Engineering at the University of Padova working on characterization and reliability of SiC-based M.O.S. in collaboration with the institute CNR-IMM (formerly Lamel). In 2000 He contributed within a NTT project on InP advanced electronic devices. In 2003 He finished his Ph.D. in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Padova with the thesis 'Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Devices for Switching and Microwave Power Applications'. In 2004 He continued his research work at Department of Information Engineering where He was proposed for the best young researcher Offelli award. He contributed to the development of a finite element simulator with variational approach for semiconductor based device in collaboration with the Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics of University of Padova. He has 35 publications on international journals and conferences.
His main research topics includes: a) electrical characterization of electronic and optoelectronic devices on Silicon and on Wide Band Gap semiconductors; b) reliability studies of the long term stability of microwave devices; c) modeling, parameter extraction and simulation of electronic devices; d) development and characterization of biosensors on microelectronic based technology.
